11月3日、DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2010が終了致しました。

約50の作品が集まったメイン会場と、それぞれ独自の企画が展開された都内のエクステンション会場にて、多くの出会いや発見がうまれた５日間でした。

メイン会場、エクステンション会場に来場いただいたみなさま、どうもありがとうございました。

出展作品の中には、商品化されるもの、販売が始まるもの、国内外の媒体で紹介されるものなど、これから新たな道が拓かれていくものがあります。

出展作品、デザイナーたちの今後の動向にも、どうぞ、ご注目下さい。

そして、来年のDESIGNTIDE TOKYOにも、ご期待ください。



DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2010 drew to a close on November 3rd.

The five-day event was filled with stimulating encounters and exciting discoveries centered around the 50 works assembled at the main venue, as well as a lineup of unique exhibitions and events at various TIDE Extension venues scattered throughout the city.

We would like to thank all visitors who made their way to both the main venue at Tokyo Midtown and the Extension venues.

A new life awaits the works that were on display – some will be turned into products or launched on the market, while others will be featured in both Japanese and foreign media and publications.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next stage in the lives of these products, as well as the future output of these talented designers.

We hope to see you again at next year’s DESIGNTIDE TOKYO!

メイン会場のミッドタウンにお越しいただいたら、地下のメイン会場だけでなく、地上もお見逃しなく。 

キャノピースクエア（スターバックスの前）では、iidaの最新プロジェクト「iida and ALESSI」のコンセプトモデルのエキシビションと、最新作・吉岡徳仁氏デザインの「X-RAY」のインスタレーションを開催中。 


外苑東通り沿いのインフォメーションプレイスには、鈴木康広さんの作品「瞬間にすわる」。

どちらも、メイン会場と同じく、見られるのは今日が最後のチャンス。

If you are planning to visit the main site at Tokyo Midtown, make sure you don’t miss the attractions installed above ground in addition to the exhibitions in the basement.

Prototypes for iida’s newest collaborative project with ALESSI, as well as an installation showcasing Tokujin Yoshioka’s “X-RAY” which is the newest model are on display at Canopy Square (in front of Starbucks).

Installed next to the information place along Gaien Higashi Street is Yasuhiro Suzuki’s “Sitting on a Moment.”

今年も大盛況のデザインタイドトーキョー。いよいよ明日で最終日。年に１度のデザインタイドトーキョーをお見逃しのないよう、メイン会場とTIDE Extension会場に、ぜひ足を運んでください！


This year’s DESIGNTIDE TOKYO was once again a roaring success. Tomorrow marks the last day of this year’s installment.

Make sure you don’t miss either the main venue or the TIDE Extension exhibitions!

TIDE Extensionは都内41会場。新作発表、クリエイターによるインスタレーション、DESIGNTIDE TOKYOに向けて用意された企画の発表など、さまざまなイベントが開催されています。

街歩きがてら、いろいろな会場をまわってみてください。


The project prepared for DESIGNTIDE TOKYO, presentation of new collection, the installation by the creator… various events have been held at each extension sites.

Please turn round various sites while walking in the town.

メイン会場に20時半までご入場いただけるのは本日までです（閉場は21時です）。

最終日の明日は大変混み合うことが予想されます（明日の最終入場は16時です）ので、お仕事帰りなどにお時間がある方は本日のご来場をおすすめいたします。

中村竜治氏のプランによるメイン会場。大変好評をいただいています。
レッドカーペットでお迎えするエントランスを抜けてホールに入ると、整然としていて美しく、でも迫力のある空間が広がります。BGMはワルツ。エレガントさもあるメイン会場です。

この空間と、ここに並ぶ約50の作品を堪能してください。


We have been receiving lots of positive feedback about the design and layout of the main venue- a nest of jagged edges that thread through Tokyo Midtown Hall.

Visitors making their way past the red carpet that welcomes them at the entrance enter the hall to find a beautifully partitioned space held together by a dynamic sort of tension. A gentle waltz plays in the background, helping to create an elegant atmosphere.

We hope you enjoy this space and the works on display.

外苑東通り沿いのインフォメーションプレイスに出現しているアーティスト・鈴木康広さんの作品「瞬間にすわる」。波の崩れる「瞬間」を背もたれに見立てたベンチです。座って空を見上げてみたり、記念写真を撮ったり、待ち合わせポイントにしたりしてください。

Installed next to the information place along Gaien Higashi Street is Yasuhiro Suzuki’s “Sitting on a Moment” – a bench with a backrest modeled after the shape of a wave that is just on the verge of breaking. Go ahead and stare up at the sky while sitting on it, have your picture taken there, or arrange to meet up with your friends in front of this stunning work!
